PhilosophyKaren is warm, compassionate, and insightful. She has been in practice for over thirty years. She believes that therapy can heal, help us cope with difficult issues, and allow us to learn about ourselves and our interactions with the world. "I love my work. In my 30 years of practice, I have witnessed amazing changes in people's lives. I feel honored to be a part of the healing process that allows people to gain insights, improve relationships, and enrich their sense of self."
Her PracticeKaren provides individual psychotherapy services as well as couples and family therapy. She also provides consultation services to organizations regarding management issues. Karen is available during business hours Monday through Friday.
- EMDR. Eye Movement, Desensitization and
Reprocessing. This is a unique therapy used to treat trauma, including
Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), effectively and quickly.
- Life transitions, relationship issues, family of origin issues, depression and anxiety.
Karen holds a BA from Gustavus Adolphus College and a Masters in Nursing from the University of Minnesota. She is also an approved EMDR provider.
