American Heart Association CPR Courses
Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and First Aid are essential skills for all staff working in human service settings. Whether you are taking a CPR class for your job or as a personal investment, our courses will provide you with the skills you need in order to respond to life threatening emergencies. HCS offers two different CPR Course levels, click on the courses below for additional information. If you are not sure which course you need, please contact your supervisor or call our office for guidance (612) 345-8522.
We also offer private test-out sessions for those renewing a BLS certification. For more information, click here.
All of our courses are taught by American Heart Association credentialed instructors. Class time will include instructor lecture, demonstrations, and videos. Students will have the opportunity to practice skills on their individual manikin and test out one-on-one with an instructor.
Upon completion of the course, students will receive an American Heart Association CPR card, valid for 2 years.
Use of American Heart Association materials in an educational course does not represent course sponsorship by the American Heart Association. Any fees charged for such a course, except for a portion of the fees needed for AHA course materials, do not represent income to the Association.
Please note: If you are in a nursing program or are training to be an EMT, you must take the Basic Life Support – BLS Provider. The Heartsaver level will not meet your training needs.
- Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours before the course. The course fee will be charged if cancellation is made in less than 24 hours. Registration is transferable to another person.
