Pediatric Heartsaver CPR First Aid Skills Check
If your duty includes responding to illnesses and injuries in children or infants in the initial minutes before professional medical assistance arrives, then the HeartSaver Pediatric First Aid CPR skills check is for you. The Online Part 1 course of the American Heart Association’s HeartSaver Pediatric First Aid CPR AED is a blended learning course that provides you with one source for pediatric CPR, first aid, and AED training for individuals who care for children.
Who Can Benefit from the CPR First Aid Skills Check?
This training and testing will be of great use to teachers, childcare workers, foster care workers, camp counselors, coaches for children’s sporting organizations, youth organizations, and others responsible for children (parents, grandparents, guardians). The course is designed to fulfill the regulatory obligations for childcare workers in every state..
Pediatric First Aid basics cover care for illnesses and injuries such as bleeding, shock, electrical injuries, allergic reactions, breathing problems, drowning, bites and stings, eye injuries, poison emergencies, fainting, tooth injuries, and many more.
The Skills Practice and Testing Session
The hands-on skills practice and testing session are conducted in-person with an American Heart Association BLS Instructor. This session can be scheduled flexibly with an instructor upon completion of the online portion of the course. The online portion of the course can be found and purchased here. Upon successful completion of both the online and hands-on portions of the course, students receive a Pediatric Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED course completion card, valid for two years.
